Joseph "Joe" Edward Zytynski, 67, husband of Kelly Chapman Zytynski, of Beaufort, SC, died Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, GA.
Joseph was born on May 7, 1959 in New Brunswick, NJ. He is the son of the late Edward Zytynski and Joan Markoski Zytynski. He had the honorable job of being the oldest of four siblings. He graduated from Montclair State University with one year of theater under his belt and a Bachelor’s in Business. For the duration of his career, Joseph worked in all areas of management, and built a life anchored in hard-work, honesty, humor, and never missing a Giants game. This Jersey boy headed down south to North Carolina for work after college. This was fate and where he met his wife, Kelly. Joe proposed to Kelly over the candy counter, life was sweet. They spent their married years watching football and loving their daughter, Heather. After moving around for work, they ended up in Beaufort, SC where Joe found retirement. This new adventure didn’t slow him down. He was always available to help Kelly with whatever she needed, and wearing whatever costume she required. He was a member of The Baptist Church of Beaufort, helped serve in the kitchen, and helped in the office. He was always willing to pitch in and his presence brought joy to those around him. If you ever asked Joe how he was, his answer was typically always the same, “Couldn’t be better”.
