Diane Valkenburg

Mrs. Diane Curtis English Valkenburg, age 92 of Beaufort, SC passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026.

Diane wished to be cremated and returned to her family.

She was born on October 28, 1933 in Stratford, CT to the late Walter Frederick Curtis and the also late Dorothy Denton Curtis. She is also preceded in death by her Daughter Kimberlee. Her husband Alan R. English and her second husband Melville Valkenburg.

Mrs. Valkenburg is survived by her son in Miami , Fl. Alan C. English, his wife Terry and sons Hunter And Wyatt English; One daughter in Beaufort , SC Doreen English Evers , husband Mark and sons Philip and Parker Evers.

Diane married Alan R English and raised three children in Miami, Fl. She lived in Miami for close to fifty years and loved the sunshine and water. Our family and friends spent many weekends in Key Largo at our vacation home.

Diane had a successful real estate career throughout Miami Dade county and the Florida Keys. Many of her clients became life long friends that were still in touch to this day. The second half of her life she moved with her Daughters and son in law and grandsons to Beaufort , SC.

Diane passed at home with her Daughter and son in law by her side. She was so blessed to have Mark her son in law as her daily caregiver. The family would like to thank the healthcare providers and caregivers of Agape Hospice and SC House Calls. It could not have been done without you all. You all are true angels. Our Mother was a beautiful lady. Her friends called her Lady Di. She was always there when we needed her and was a perfect example of what a Mother should be. She was beautiful inside and out. She will be missed forever and ever Amen.
